We measured 20 quadrats today, each of which is a 30x30 cm square. We will use the variation in lichens found in the quadrats to understand the effects of different amounts of fog on the lichen community.
We visited the only known site of the vagrant lichen Santessonia cervicornis. Daniel and Reinaldo say it is much less abundant than 6 yrs ago. Many other lichens are also vagrant in this spot (not attached to anything like a tumbleweed).
